Farewell to Kruger, 1989 - 2005

This is Daddy's statement: The Bonneville that would not die finally entered immortality on Saturday by blowing a hole in the engine.
This was the first new car he bought waaaaaaaaay back in 1989. He drove it until 1992, when Grandpa needed a new car so Dad sold him Kruger (but Kruger didn't get his name 'til I started driving him) and bought a new car. In the late 90's, after my grandmother's stroke, Grandpa didn't use Kruger anymore so my Aunt Bonnie, who was living in Virginia at the time, purchased him. She moved to Louisiana and then in 2002 she moved to England, and Daddy brought Kruger home again. After totalling Donatello in 2003, I drove Kruger until old age did him in.

Photo one. Please note the dent in the rear door and the scratches down the side - that would be my handiwork. You can't see it from this angle but the decorative strip in front was coming off and was being held on by loads of tacky duct tape.

Yeah, Kruger had a simply massive hood.

Previously totalled cars can be viewed here.
