piranha - coming up roses.

This quarter rocks!

I've officially reached the point where the only credits I really need to transfer are math. I need to move up one or two 'levels' in math and probably take a 2nd PE class, and I'll be good to transfer to SJSU. So I'm goofing around this semester and taking classes I want to take.

Math is on-line (hooray! No stuffy classroom!) and I'm taking Drawing II, Japanese, and Fiction Writing. I'm only at school Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Friday. It's kinda fantastic.

Taxes, on the other hand, blow chunks this year. Thanks to some money shifting and investments I've made, I ended up owing $1200!! Yeesh. What's up with that? I have no money. Maybe I should start doing my own taxes; Dad's not coming up with the right numbers as far as I'm concerned.

Sigh. I have done an awful lot of investing/grown-up money junk this year. Extended a few CDs right before the interest rates started dropping, opened a Roth IRA, set up some accounts with Vanguard.

The lower left hole where my wisdom tooth used to be is throbbing and sore. Good thing my post-op appointment is tomorrow, I want Dr. Nix to give me more drugs because that socket is driving me nuts! I wonder if it's a dry socket. I had thought dry sockets were supposed to hurt a lot, but while this has its painful moments overall it isn't too bad. I do feel like I have the Breath of Death, however, and that's supposed to be one of the dry socket symptoms, too.
