kid - because i can bitch!

On-line traffic school is just as awful as the physical classrooms.

So back in January or February or some equally distant time in the past, I got ticketed by a policeman for running a stoplight. I wrote them a check and opted to take the mandatory online Driver's Ed class.

Oh my goodness, it sure does suck. Each page goes over the rules of the road in excruciating detail, and they're on a timer so you can't just skip ahead to the questions. The timers were long, too; one minute to read a page that took me approximately fifteen seconds. It was such a waste of time. (Is that the punitive aspect? Not only does the state take your money, they make you suffer through traffic school so you'll obey the speed limits and stop at red lights and the like.)

On the plus side, I had episodes of The Daily Show and The Colbert Report streaming in another window, so I was able to get caught up on those shows and their coverage of all the political wackiness going on in the world right now. I also listened to an audio book. In retrospect, I should have painted my nails, too. Wouldn't that complete the picture of a lazy day at home?
