piranha - feather nest.

Sellin' my tail off at the museum!

Today was pretty busy at ye ol' Museum. There were two motorhome convoys and a tour bus that came through, which helped boost our numbers, and on top of that we sold some pretty big ticket items, including a nearly $700 rug.  The Retail Manager also got a visit from her buyers today, so she was off "shopping" and haggling for most of the morning.  Luckily, nothing too exciting was purchased so my wallet is safe for now.  I wanted to follow Brenda out to drool over the goods, but I figured I would be needed in the museum so I stayed put.

I didn't get much work done in the back, which was too bad, but I think some small part of me must miss working retail because I have a lot of fun at the register.  Maybe I just like the part where I get to wear expensive jewelry when I'm behind the counter.

This picture was taken yesterday, when I was hanging out behind the register.  The necklace that I am wearing is $220, with handmade stone beads.  You can't tell from the picture, but the dark stones are a purplish color and the light-colored stones are lavender.  Mostly, though, I'm just showing off the awesome Mulan postcard that Jeans sent me from Disneyland.  It's really awesome!
