Glossybox: July 2014

JULY 2014

After a couple of themed boxes, like the Stars & Stripes box and the Bergdorf Goodman box, it was almost a relief to see the regular Glossybox in the mail.  It was also fantastic that the box actually arrived before the end of the month.

MITCHELL AND PEACH Body Cream: Hey, perfect!  I ran out of body lotion a couple of days ago, so this can tide me over until my next Lush order arrives.  Mitchell and Peach is also a UK-based company.  This lotion contains organic cocoa butter, honey, and shea butter to moisturize the skin.  It has a very light herbal smell and soaks in very quickly. $16.00.

GLAMGLOW Youthmud TinglExfoliate Treatment: When I saw this, I thought, "Gee, this looks familiar."  Turns out I got a sample of this same face mask in an Ipsy bag last year.  I never got around to trying it, though.  Did I lose it?  Well, I guess I've got another chance to give it a go. $23.00.

SKIN INC Custom-Blended Anti-Aging Serum: So this anti-aging serum combines Coenzyme Q10, Marine-Collagen, and Hyaluronic Acid to help keep skin youthful and fresh.  It's a weird-looking serum - lots of little bubbles floating in a gel.  Since Skin Inc boasts that they will create custom blends for each customer, this exact serum isn't on their website.  Glossybox says it's worth $45.00, so I'll go with that.

PHILIP B PH Restorative Detangling Toning Mist: Man, I wish I had this earlier today when I went swimming at my mother-in-law's.  The pool always tangles my hair up something awful, so it would have been the perfect time to test this out!  The spray supposedly will adjust the pH of your tap water, sealing the cuticle of your hair for a smooth, shiny finish.  Does that work?  It sounds so weird. $10.00.

MALIN + GOETZ Mojito Lip Balm: You can never have too much lip balm!  Especially in the summer - I've been going through this stuff like crazy.  I can't remember if I've ever tried any Malin + Goetz products...the brand sounds familiar, but that may simply mean I've been exposed to it via various beauty and skincare blogs.  Either way, their lip balm is definitely new to me.  At first I thought this tube was a full-sized product, but after looking at the website I realized it's slightly smaller than the retail lip balms, and is some sort of deluxe sample instead. $8.40.

Glossybox is a monthly subscription box containing skincare and cosmetics. Monthly subscriptions start at $21.00 per box, but you can get a discount if you subscribe to six months or a year instead of monthly installments. For more information, visit them at their website:
