kid - shuu-chan.

You go girl.

When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.
-- Helen Keller

Congratulations to my dear friend Kero, who took the brave step today of leaving a toxic work environment even though she doesn't have a next job immediately lined up.  To me, that takes serious balls.  Even in the worst working situations, I've always been too nervous to quit a job unless I've already started another position elsewhere.  I just get too worried about the future if I don't have some sort of income stream.

But quality of life is incredibly important, and Kero's job was not making her happy.  The stress was slowly sneaking into other aspects of her life and poisoning it.  So I am thrilled that she decided to leave that job, even if it leads to an uncertain future, because mental health is so much more important than a paycheck.

Besides, you never know what opportunities you'll find once you have the time to actually look for them!
