On Saturday I shipped out twenty-two pounds worth of soap, antibacterial items, and lotions to a church in Baton Rouge that is collecting toiletries for Katrina victims.

That will probably be it from me, charity-wise, 'til late October/early November, when I plan to have another huge round of BPAL auctions to raise funds for Second Harvest Food Bank here in town. Because, you know, bad things don't happen just in New Orleans. (Kitty and I had an interesting discussion about that about a week ago.)
