The Quest for PTO

So after speaking to Lisa, who said that she had never heard of part-time associates getting paid time off, I printed out the page from the website that listed part time associates qualifying for PTO and called HR Direct. After wasting about half an hour with one of their representatives (foolishly, I didn't get her name) she said that I did not qualify for paid time off either.

This is getting really frustrating!
I know that there is a sign posted in our store, so paid time off was definitely available to part time associates at one time. There must be a way for me to get it, but I am having the worst time figuring out how.

On to the next step - it is time to speak with Harry Eng, our district manager. He's very stingy with hours so I'm going to have to have a good case when I e-mail him. Unfortunately, I can't exactly steal the door of our filing cabinet that our PTO-sticker is on, so it's going to be a bit tricky to mention that. I wish I still had my original associate handbook, but I am afraid I threw that out or left in an old car that has since been demolished. I wonder if Christine still has hers - she's organized like that, and it might be a good way to see if Paid Time Off was mentioned there.
