You know that dream I had? (Dreamer's Terror, if you need to find out) Well, listen to this.
On Thursday, after school, I was talking to Heidi while waiting for my wonderful buddy Kris, who can now drive me places, to finish taking a spanish test. Suddenly, there was the horrid sound squealing tires and a crushing, crashing, smashing sound.
We looked up, our necks snapping like rubber bands in the direction of the sound. It was on Meridian, practically perpendicular to where we were sitting. A white SUV, I don't know the company or brand, had smooshed the front of another white car. (The second car was nondescript, common. I don't really know one car brand from another, but if I had to guess, I would say Honda Accord. But I really don't know.) It was freaky.
I didn't go to check it out. Instead, I went to Room 2, where my chemistry teacher was, and told her what had happened. I asked if I should call 9-1-1, but she said that someone probably already had.
Once again, I didn't see the faces in the cars.
Granted, a lot of it was different from my dream. But the meat of it - two white cars collide on Meridian - was there.
And that was bad. Because I - I don't have premonitions. That's Katharine's job. I'm supposed to see the past, with postcognition or retrocognition, whichever term you prefer.
