Licorice root and always gives me the heebie jeebies.

I got the Republic of Tea's latest catalog today, and as always they included a sample teabag. Today's sample is their Holiday Blend, which promises flavored delight with ingredients of black tea, cinnamon, 'natural flavors' (that's not suspicious) apple pieces...and licorice root.

Licorice is my arch-nemesis (one of them anyway), right up there with zucchini. (Thankfully, no one's made zucchini tea.) (Yet.) So I'm wondering how prevalent the taste is, and whether I want to drink this tea and risk licorice-breath or give it to my dad and suffer the misery of not knowing what something tastes like, which I'm pretty sure is one of the Cardinal sins.

...hmmm. Speaking of the cardinal sins, what are they? I assume they're the same as the Seven Deadly Sins, but what if they're not? Also, do I even know what the Seven sins are?

Wrath.
Gluttony.
Sloth.
Avarice.

.
.
uhm. Envy.
Pride.

.
(I had to sneak a peek at Wikipedia because I couldn't remember the last one.) LUST. (What does it say about me that I can never remember lust as a deadly sin?)

Back to tea. Tomorrow morning, it's holiday licorice blend time.
(Watch. I make all this fuss and the licorice won't even be tasteable. Tasteable isn't a word, is it?)
