To prove what a considerate boyfriend he is, he played with the sound off and without shouting objection!, which we all know is half the fun. True love involves many sacrifices.
2. Finished The Book of Dragons by E. Nesbit today. It's a short story collection of stories that involve dragons. Nesbit is a very cheeky writer, with a lot of side commentary for the kids. Think Lemony Snicket, but if Lemony Snicket was a kindly old spinster aunt, the sort that would serve you cookies every time you visited, but the cookies are always rather stale. Some of the stories are traditional fairy tales, with a prince and talking animals and tall towers for a princess to be hidden away in, and when she's rescued there's a happily ever after. Some of the stories are sillier, with dragons randomly appearing in a modern city and the local government has to try and stop it, and when they fail two children have to go and try to awaken St. George to fight the dragons off. Etc.
