Quiche is a weird word.  
I made my first quiche today!
(Gasp! I know! I cooked!)
It was pretty simple, just bacon and cheese, but it was surprising how little time it takes. I had a frustrating few moments when I suddenly realized I had to beat the egg-mixture, and I hadn't thought far enough ahead to realize that beating is not the same as stirring or mixing and I might need another tool. A quick glance at Google said I needed a mixer, which sounded insane to me, and I don't even know if we have one, anyway. So I dug around and found an old hand-crank whisk-thing, and used that. It's neat. Weird-looking, but neat. Anyway. Quiche turned out tasty, but very ugly. Guess I need to work on presentation.

you can beat with a hand whisk (ie. looks like a bunch of wires) OR just a plain old fork. the fork takes more effort, but easily done. :) i often use a fork. i do not recommend an electric hand-mixer for eggs if you're not planning on making some sort of meringue or something. the hand-crank thing was a good choice.

I looked all over for a whisk, but we don't seem to have one. Good to know I can use a fork tho'. Thanks!

They're tasty. I made this one in a pie pan and ate half of it in one sitting. o_O It was a lot of quiche.

If you like eggs they're good. If you're kinda meh over eggs, they can be rather nasty. ^^;

Quiche is so yummy!
I made a crab quiche for my mom's birthday brunch. I must say I was very impressed with myself. I didn't have a pie crust, so I put them in little cupcakes.

If you decide to keep experimenting, try to add spinach, that's a very tasty quiche. ^__^

we both know how good something is on the inside is irrelevant if it's ugly. like people.
