Freakiest morning ever!
(Note: This actually happened yesterday morning.)

I woke up because there was an impact on my back. In bed, I was lying on my side, my face toward the wall and my back facing out. I thought someone had hit me right at the base of my spine. I felt the blow! Mixed with the pain was a tingling sensation, like when your foot starts to wake up after it's been asleep. It spread. Up my back, down my legs, through my arms, and even up into my head the tingling went. It was weird. I'd never felt anything like it.

I tried to roll over, and I couldn't. That's weird I thought, and tried to lift my arm. It wouldn't budge. My eyes were barely open, only enough to see my pink bedsheets and a bit of my green walls. I tried to open them, to shut them, to blink - anything! - but nothing happened. I was getting scared, so I tried to open my mouth, to call out to my parents or scream. I couldn't do it! I couldn't even make a sound in my throat. Nothing would move! My brain seemed to be severed from the rest of my body.
Out of the corner of my eye I thought I saw a big black shadowy something standing behind me. I thought that was what hit me.

After several minutes (although it probably wasn't that long) the tingling subsided and a numbness settled in my limbs. I tried to move my arm and it twitched. I tried again, and again, with legs and toes and chest. (I must have been breathing that whole time, but I don't remember it!) After another minute or two I was able to sit up and wonder what the heck was that?

I got up, went to the bathroom, and then came back to go to sleep once more because I was tired and had a headache.

When I woke up again the same thing happened, but it was even freakier. My eyes were closed and I couldn't open them, so all was dark. My body wouldn't respond to anything I told it to do. In the dark theatre behind my eyes a light start flashing, white, getting larger and larger. I had a panic attack because suddenly I thought OH NO. I'M DYING. I don't want to die! I'm too young! Too much left unfinished! I haven't even finished reading The Purpose-Driven Life and I'm getting snuffed out? Unfair! So I kept thinking MOVE! and after several million years I opened my eyes and started feeling my muscles again.

It was SO WEIRD.
Obviously, not yet dead.
Within ten minutes of the second time (I didn't dare go to sleep again!) I was eating and everything seemed perfectly normal.

I have a friend who has been getting this since childhood. it made slumber parties at her house especially creepy. You could hear her moaning at times.
