Little hearts floating in the air <3 <3 <3

Man, I love free food nights at Rinconada. Or free food days. Anytime I get fed, it's a good day at work.

Tonight all the families who own a plot in the community garden had a potluck dinner with their fresh fruits and vegetables. The organizer, Lois, and her husband are two of my favorite residents! They're both really sweet and very active in the different organizations here, so I see them a lot. She brought me a delicious plate that had tomatos, pasta, salad, bruschetta (with pine nuts on top! I HAVE A THING FOR PINE NUTS, BUT NO ONE KNOWS THIS EXCEPT NOW YOU.) and so much tasty freshness. My tongue dances with glee.

Free food is not an every day event, of course. For every lovely party that lets me dig in to the leftovers there's five or six who don't. But when they do, it's a special day!

(Should I really get this excited about food? OF COURSE.)
