Stupid question for eBay/Paypal users...
Dumb eBay question:

So I bought something a while back but due to some errors I had to re-ship an item to the proper recipient, and the seller needed to refund me $2.88. They kept not doing it and not doing it, so I finally filed a dispute with Paypal. (I know, it's so petty. But I can use that $2.88 to ship a book!) They promptly refunded me the amount I wanted...twice.

Is there a way to refund a refund without starting another Paypal transaction?

you can just send her the amount and write in the comments that it's to refund the overpayment?

But then she gets dinged with Paypal fees for that transaction, which I'm trying to avoid. After Paypal takes its share from $2.88 there isn't much left.

You can mail her a check...

I hate having to file a dispute with Paypal inorder to motivate simple actions from the slacking other end. That said, you may be fortunate it's a small fee, because you can slip 2.88 in an envelope and snail mail it. The post office will likely not molest the contents.

Go pick a silly stiff card from the dollar store! or some generic miscellany stationary card you may have, and tape the change inside.

That seems like the best solution. Thanks :)
