It's kind of sad that they have to resort to this - the mentality of our nation is that we literally need celebrities to TELL US what to do, tell us to vote, or not vote, because that's how important celebrity opinions apparently are. Maybe that's not what they had in mind when they made this video, maybe they just thought they were helping out - but that's what this video SAYS about our society. It says that we won't vote unless our celebrities tell us that it's okay, that it's cool.

That's sad.

Is it sad that I knew who pretty much all these people are? I am a pop culture whore.

The video is insulting to people like us who have our own opinions and are already planning on voting. It's not targeting us. It's for people who haven't registered because they don't care enough to vote. It's for people who think their vote doesn't matter so why bother. It's for people who are dumb enough to listen to celebrities. In that respect, it's brilliant.
