Playing house all week
Mom's been in France all week (she left last Saturday) and my Dad had a conference in San Francisco all week, so I've had the house to myself. Seanie's been here as well; it's been like we live together, except we don't. :-p

We watched a Disney movie every day! It wasn't planned, it just worked out that way. Fantasia on Monday; Fantasia 2000 on Tuesday. Wednesday we watched Snow White because it was the only VHS Disney movie I could find in our house. (I had been hoping to locate our copy of Aladdin, but it seems to be hiding quite well.) On Thursday we went to the library (first time I've been in over a year) and they had Sleeping Beauty on VHS and Hercules on DVD, so we got those and watched them, too.

(OMG Hercules is horrible. REALLY REALLY CRAPTACULAR. The voices just seemed off, and the whole use of celebrity cameos in animated films really kills character development. Ugh.)

School's OK.

Had a bit of an incident at the clubhouse last night. One of the traffic control staff was a little...out of control. We had to get him off the property, because he was having a nervous breakdown and was acting irrationally. But he's been working there for twenty years, so it had to be done in such a way that he wouldn't piss off the security firm that actually employs him (the guards don't work for us directly) and get fired. Finally he was convinced to go to the hospital for observation, but it literally took all day to get him to that point. My poor manager had a fifteen hour day! Stressful situation all around.

I've got tons of Disney on VHS (even all 3 Aladdins!) but no VCR!! We should plan a Disney marathon. Also, as fabulously ridiculous as Hercules was I couldn't get past the incorrect mythological references. Narcissus as a god? hardly. The diva muses were annoying.

Sean busted up laughing every time I'd yell something like "WHAT THAT'S NOT HOW IT GOES WHAT THE FRENCH TOAST????"

It happened like every five minutes. Man. I know that Disney screws with every story to some degree, but why on earth would they choose to go with Hercules? That is a story unsuitable for childrens' entertainment if there ever was one.

I was hoping for Hercules 2 where Meg goes insane and kills there children. No?

Also, how is it that your mother is in France without us?

And Hercules, distraught, marries Deianira, who eventually kills him with centaur sperm. How is it that Disney has not picked up this plot thread yet?

Mom took off to France without me! She got a spring break and BAM! she was gone. So uncool. She can't wait 'til she's retired; she'll go jetting off all over the place.

We'll have to do a Disney marathon. I never saw the Aladdin sequels - or sequels to anything for that matter.

The sequels are truly horrendous - Little Mermaid 2, Cinderella 2, etc, - and we must watch them.

Did she go by herself? Man, I wish I can just take off to France.

Hercules was the worst disney movie I've ever seen! Ugh we didn't even pay for it in the theaters. We snuck in. Good idea otherwise that was a waste of money.

I'm the same with Jeannie. I have tons of VHS disney tapes, but all the VCRs in my house dont work!

WTF?! Your mom is in France?!??!

I always used to dislike Beauty and the Beast but recently I saw it again and it has to be one of my favourites now...
