Plotting an escape from San Jose!!
What travel websites do you usually use to book flights? It's been a couple of years since I flew out-of-state, and I can't remember what site I used last time. I've checked the flight prices at Priceline.com, Hotwire.com, and Expedia.com. Am I forgetting someone important? Are there horror stories about these sites that I need to know?

Some other sites I use as reference are:

More often then not though I do it for hotels =\ to compare all the prices...
then I actually call the hotel themselves directly to see if I am really getting a discount (otherwise I just book through them...if I need to cancel, I won't get a cancellation fee -from- these websites)

Wonder if you could do the same with flight tickets...probably can.

As for horrors....not really...
Expedia I know I had to cancel once (for hotel) and got docked a fee (see above workaround).
Travelocity had a weird issue where (again hotel) said it was available but when I got to checkout, it was "gone". I say bad design site or *cough* bait-and-switch because it still kept showing up available until the end and you have to choose another available but more expensive one.

My past four flights I've gotten the best deals at Travelocity. I usually always check on Kayak.com, Cheapflights.com and Bookingbuddy.com but they're all pretty similar.

Where you going to?! I MIGHT (big might) be helping a friend drive to San Jose in September! I'll keep you posted b/c we'll definitely meet up if it happens!! ;0)
