Nothing gives me dry heaves faster than a math test.

A wild, raging math midterm struck today.
I actually studied really hard for it.  REALLY HARD.  But once the test was in my hands the formulas started scrambling in my head and pretty soon I couldn't remember how to do anything and I wanted to cry.

I'm actually really terrified of math, because if  I don't pass my math class I will lose my spot at SJSU and I'll be stuck at a community college for another whole year.

It makes me like ten times more nervous than I would otherwise be, which of course makes me more error-prone on exams.  I don't want to create a self-fulfilling doom prophecy!
