Mom's in Tahiti and I'm here, and I'm OK with it.

Looks like it's going to be a quiet month here at home. My Mom took off today on an adventure; she's flying to Tahiti and taking a slow cruise back across the Pacific Ocean, stopping off at Easter Island, several countries in South and Central America, and eventually landing in Florida.

I'm trying not to be jealous. Trying really hard. It sounds like such an awesome trip, though.

I guess I can't complain! After all, I went to Florida over the Christmas/New Year's holidays and up to Ashland just last week. I've got a big Italy trip coming up in June.

But South America...Machu Picchu! I can't help but feel a little envious, nevertheless.

I've got to look on the bright side! I've got a house practically to myself for a month! Huzzah! Sure, Dad's around, but he's quiet and keeps to himself. Kenny lives in Santa Cruz during the week, so I suppose he'll come back on weekends. Ah well. Until I move out, this is the closest I'll get to having an independent life. (Ugh, that's so sad and depressing when you think about it.)

Have a good trip, Mom!
Bring me something cool! <3
