Wait, how long was I gone?

So I get back to work today, after being gone gallivanting in Europe for a month, and as I'm settling into the rhythm of things my boss drops the bombshell that Jeans quit. Wait, what? (Jeannie hadn't mentioned this at all while I was in England, but suddenly her cryptic "Don't worry about things back here, it's fine" made a lot more sense.) I was confused, to say the least.

So there was some drama over the July 4th weekend, when Jeans got sick. Apparently, my boss thought she was faking it, because earlier Jeannie had requested the weekend off and the request had been denied because someone was off in England and no one else was available to work. The end result was that Jeans turned in her two weeks, which conveniently terminated with my return.

Weird. I had no idea. I mean, I knew Jeans was gonna leave sooner or later because she was going back to school this fall...but I didn't expect it to happen so suddenly. Oh well. That's life. Jeannie will be happier without RHA.

Looks like I'm back in the market for a co-worker.
