Hurry, hurry the pile of papers is tipping over-
School's been flooding me with work lately. It seems like every day there's a midterm or a paper...always a paper due! In the past few weeks I've written about Greek kouroi statues and amphora, the use of light in Venetian paintings, and Sassanian textiles. Today, I'm scrambling to finish a paper about San Jose's City Hall building, which is difficult because I really have nothing to say about it. Well, that's not true. What I want to say is that the building is ugly and it was a huge waste of taxpayers' money, but that really doesn't suit the purposes of a visual analysis paper. So instead I'm drawing parallels between the organization and layout of the building as compared to an Italian piazza, specifically the Piazza della Signora in Florence.

I just have to keep reminding myself that once I make it through this week, I'll get a bit of a breather since there won't be any major projects due for a few days.
