Writer's Block: B.Y.O.B. Holidays
What is on your holiday wish list this year? One random answer will win a $50 Amazon gift card. [Details here]
This is a copy of a list I sent out to family at the end of November (right around Black Friday) at the request of my mother-in-law-to-be.  Since it was rather rushed, I can't say that it was a particularly well-designed list - very heavily weighted toward expensive items.  But sometimes I'd rather receive one big present - something I could never afford on my own - than a bunch of smaller things I could have easily picked up if I really wanted them.

Christmas Wishlist 2011

Rosetta Stone, Spanish OR Italian: http://www.rosettastone.com/emcyb1?cid=em-spp53&pc=rsholi100&source=291829566046842#
I really need to learn a foreign language, and Spanish is the one I've struggled with for years. I would love to get either the program in either Level 1-3 or Level 1-5; Spanish or Latin America is fine.  Alternatively, I would also like to learn enough conversational Italian so that next time I'm over there I can get by without the Italians resorting to English within five minutes.

Disneyland Annual Passport - http://disneyland.disney.go.com/passes/
Jeannie and I have an addiction, so please help feed it with a Deluxe Annual Passport. (I believe Jeannie has been encouraging certain members of the family to take care of this one, so please consult with Seanie for updates on that.) IF YOU ARE GOING WITH THIS OPTION, I AM ACTUALLY GOING TO DISNEYLAND ON THE 19TH SO I NEED THIS BEFORE CHRISTMAS.
(Note: I have received this gift; Seanie's family gave it to me at the annual Sock Party last Saturday.  Huzzah!)

Bookshelves
Seriously, does anyone know where to get some good, sturdy bookshelves for my massive book collection??? Since I absolutely refuse to have anything to do with ebooks (I don't like 'em!!!) I need a way to display and organize my library. For sizing information, coordinate with Seanie, since ultimately the bookshelves will be living at his place.

Oregon Shakespeare Festival Gift Certificates - http://www.osfashland.org/plays/merchandise/index.aspx
As you know, I love going up to OSF every year to see all the plays; next year I'd like to go on two trips, once in the spring and once in the late summer so that I can see EVERYTHING!!!! It'll be epic but pricey, so help a gal out.

Modcloth.com Gift Certificates - http://www.modcloth.com/store/modcloth/gift-certificate
So last year, I got a beautiful Modcloth jacket and I was delighted and happy and my life was complete. Three weeks later, I saw it on sale for 50% off, and I was a little sad. So THIS year, I'm thinking that instead of buying Modcloth clothes ahead of time, please buy me gift certificates so that I can take advantage of the after-Christmas clearance sale, because it was EPIC and AMAZING last time.

More ideas? Well, I do have this crazy-long-ass wishlist over on Amazon...

http://amzn.com/w/3LK0LE0G88OTK

but most of that is stuff that I would enjoy but don't need anytime in the immediate future, so it's not really a priority.

Addendum for Papa B.:
I would like a foo dog for Sean's front porch, please. A home is not complete until the guardian lion protects the threshold. Since you go to China all the time, I am putting you in charge of finding one. He needn't be a very large one; the one at my parents house is probably about 10” high and 18” long. I don't know how much they cost but I bet it's a lot cheaper to get it in China than it is to pay the tourist prices in Chinatown.

Sean said I have to explain what a foo dog is, so here is a link to Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_guardian_lions
