2013 New Year's Resolutions: March Update

Eliminate the backlog of “to be posted” blog entries.
Down from 178 to 152.
I really want to work on this during March, though - at this point, the entries are being written for me and my memories, rather than for a general audience, so I feel like that will make it go a lot faster. But we'll see.
Getting these cleared is Priority #1 - I've got two travel adventures in April and I want to be done with "old" travel posts by then.

Eliminate my backlog of books for review.
I actually managed to make this worse - at this point, I have 30 posts that need to be filled, up from 28.  Le sigh.  Priority #2 for March.

Covert my old bedroom at my parents' into a studio.
Well, it definitely isn't a bedroom anymore.  Last month I got rid of the bed and set up some bookshelves - so now, instead of boxes of books I have books on shelves, which freed up a ton of space.  I've been cleaning through a lot of old things and sorting and discarding as necessary - turns out I have waaaaaaaay more newsprint and drawing paper than I can probably use.  Moving forward this month, I want to finish "processing" piles of stuff and set up my easel and sewing machine.

Find a “for reals” job.
Applied for stuff.  Didn't get anything, but my application for a position for archaeology technician is being reviewed by the Bureau of Land Management and the Forest Service.  So yay?
Since I was getting antsy about the lack of income coming in, I signed on for a couple of extra shifts at RHA.  When the summer season starts in April, I'll work Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5-9.

Draw or create something every day. Draw or create something at least weekly.
Oil painting progresses.
I've been drawing with colored pencils a little more.
Once the studio is done, I should be painting more, too.

Exercise 60 minutes a week; by the end of year expand this to 210 minutes a week.
Other than a hike with Sean, I didn't do much exercise of note in February.
Today I started yoga classes at a new yoga studio; if I go to two or three sessions a week that'll put me well over 60 minutes a week.

Cook at least three meals a week.
Yeah, I need to work on this some more.

Travel somewhere new – preferably overseas.
So far I've got Chicago in April.
An overseas trip has not been ruled out, but it hasn't been planned, either.

Do one thing completely new.
Oil painting.
I need to brainstorm something else, too.
