A new fixture in the house.
While I was on my lunch break today, I bought a white clothes rack for the bedroom.  Nothing fancy, just a sturdy metal frame that I could use to hang some coats on.  The closets in this rental are just too small for all my dresses and skirts and whatnot.

Did I intentionally wait 'til Seanie was out of town to sneak this into the house? No.  We actually talked about it a couple of days ago.  But the fact that he wasn't home probably made it easier, since I could throw clothes all over the place and he couldn't complain about it.

How sturdy is it, and where did you get it? The one I got from Target is kind wobbly and has crashed on me a couple of times.

I got it at Storables - it's this model. While I was in the store, I tried to test its ability to hold weight by pulling on the bar to see if it would bend. The base was a lot sturdier than some of the other ones I've seen, with three bars to spread the weight, so I think it will hold up pretty well over time.

On the other hand, it was definitely not the cheapest clothesrack out there, but I knew that one with plastic parts wouldn't be able to take the weight of winter coats for very long.

Sigh, THAT store. I've been meaning to go there for years now, you know how much I love containers, but about a year ago I went on a very awkward date with the manager there (friend of a friend of a friend) and now I can never go there.

Dude, it's a retail job - turnover's so high that your awkward date probably doesn't even work there anymore. Just go and revel in the storage solutions!
