k00kaburra Box #5

Well, that Graze box didn't last long.  It arrived on Saturday afternoon, and I just gobbled the last crumb a few minutes ago.  I got lazy this afternoon and didn't pack a dinner for my evening shift at work, and before I knew it my snacks were all gone!

I hate when that happens...

Fruit & Seed Flapjack
rustic rolled oat flapjack with mixed seeds and dried fruits

Flapjacks are awesome.  That's all I really needed to know about this!
I'm not sure what dried fruits were in here - raisins, probably, and something else that wasn't too tart.  Whatever it was, it was a bit on the mushy end of the spectrum.  I liked the combination of the soft flapjack and crunchy seeds - plus, pumpkin seeds really should be in more snacks.  I love them.
Verdict: LIKE

Apple Cosmo
lime infused raisins, cranberries and apple

This is my second or third item with "infused" dried fruit.  I really need someone to explain to me the process behind infusing raisins and cranberries with different flavors.  These lime raisins because it is really, really good - a vast improvement on nature's taste!    The dried apples were pretty bland, with just barely a hint of sweetness - but tempered the tartness of the cranberries and made this into a pretty appealing little mix.  Plus, the package claims that this is one full serving of fruit!
Verdict: LIKE

Herby Bread Basket
mini garlic croutons, mini basil breadsticks and oregano rice crackers

These are glorified croutons, but I liked them.
Probably because I'm just a sucker for anything with carbs.  The rice crackers were especially nice - I've noticed that there are a lot of Graze snack mixes that have these in them, so hopefully I'll get more of them in the future.
Verdict: LIKE

Chili & Lime Pistachios
roasted pistachios with chili and lime seasoning

I really thought these would gross me out. Chili and lime has never been a combination that appealed to me, and I couldn't see how pistachios would help.  Surprisingly, they did.  I'm not sure why or how, but this was a perfectly pleasant snack.  The flavoring complimented rather than overpowered the nuts.
Verdict: LIKE

Huh.  I wonder if the fact that I liked everything in the box reflects more on the fact that I was hungry like a sharp-toothed dinosaur this afternoon, or if this was really just an awesome selection of snacks.
