2013 New Year's Resolutions: June Update

Eliminate the backlog of “to be posted” blog entries.
Up from 151 to 163.
Thanks to the traveling, and the lack of Internet access on the cruise ship, this has gone shooting up.  Drat.

Eliminate my backlog of books for review.
Down from 38 to 36.
But I've got a bit of a "front log", so as long as I keep on top of things I should be able to continue clearing up the piles of books around here.

Covert my old bedroom at my parents' into a studio.
No progress to report.

Find a “for reals” job.
No progress to report.  I've been applying for positions, but no one seems interested in hiring me.  There was an executive assistant position I thought I'd be a shoo-in for, but I was told they'd be contacting candidates on the 3rd and 4th to schedule interviews, and I haven't heard a thing.

Draw or create something every day. Draw or create something at least weekly.
The outdoor studio in the summer house is ready to go.  I've set up a tabletop easel and Seanie had a random role of clear vinyl sitting around, so I covered all surfaces for easy clean-up.  Hopefully, I'll make some awesome stuff this month.

Exercise 60 minutes a week; by the end of year expand this to 210 minutes a week.
I guess you could count the hike in Yosemite, and maybe the walks on the cruise port stops, but really I haven't exercised much.

Cook at least three meals a week.
No progress to report.

Travel somewhere new – preferably overseas.
Chicago and Alaska.
Bam.  Done.

Do one thing completely new.
Oil painting.

Do something else completely new.
Ceramics.  Registration for DeAnza's summer classes is next week!
