West Bay Opera: Les Contes D'Hoffmann

Last night I saw Les Contes D'Hoffman with my dad at West Bay Opera.  It was a pretty good show - I mean, I personally think it's hard to mess Hoffmann up, because there's so much fun written into the story.  Beautiful dolls that appear real, a singer who sacrifices herself to her music, and a beautiful courtesan who seduces men to steal their soul.  Great stuff!  This version was especially fun, at least to me, because there was a touch of steampunk to the aesthetic and design of the set and costumes.
