Good-bye, RHA!

Today was my last day at RHA...for now, 'til I get back from Utah in November. I didn't publicize it too much; all in all, I'd reckon I've told perhaps a dozen residents, which out of a population of about 1,000 really isn't too many. After all, the majority of the residents would never notice whether I'm in the office or not.

I did make sure to tell a couple of people - my old high school principal, the woman who always calls to ask if there are children swimming in the pool, and some of the friendlier residents who have become favorites or were especially supportive of my academic career. But there are several board members who I'm sure neither know nor care that I'll be gone, and that's fine. I can't wait for them to be gone, too.

But yeah, I didn't publicize it much, so I only had one or two folks stop by to say good-bye. That's just the way I wanted it.
