Last Glassblowing Class

Today was the last glassblowing class for me 'n' Jeannie.  The goal?  To make cups and bowls.

I was not off to a promising start:

I dropped my first bowl just as it was reaching completion, and it shattered everywhere.  But as Esteban said, "You have to move on and let it go."  So we made another bowl, and thankfully it made it all the way through the process.

Before the night was over, I also managed to successfully finish a glass.  It was a little short, but it will hopefully be fully functional.

Glassblowing is really something you need a partner for.  While I believe it's possible to do it solo, it's so much easier to manipulate the glass and shape it with another pair of hands to help along the way.  I'm bummed that I won't have a chance to work on this for several months - I'm not very good at glassblowing as it is, and I suspect that what little I've mastered will slip away after months of no practice.
