Boulder is beautiful at this time of year.
A few weeks ago, the leaves all started to change to yellow and orange. It's so much more dramatic than the leaves back home. In San Jose, you might see a few scattered trees with colorful leaves, but most tend to just drop dusty dry brown leaves immediately to the ground or keep green needles all year long. But out here, entire mountains turn golden as the aspen groves change seasons.
This is one of the big trees growing right outside the museum. The leaves have been falling all day, raining down like Zeus' shower of gold on Danae. I have work to do, but every once in a while I can't help but wander out to see the leaves.
