Collections & Inventory
It's hard to believe that a few weeks ago the museum was so bustlin' and busy, because this past week it has been like a ghost town.  If you're visiting, it's great - you've practically got the museum to yourself!  But it is so very hard to stay awake when it is this slow.

It's good, though.  The lack of people means that I can finally go back to the storage room and return to my inventory records.  It makes me laugh to think that I was so certain that I would finish up the inventory this season.  At first, I was convinced I could have it finished by the end of August - my first month of the internship.  When it became clear that this was not going to happen, I thought that I'd surely finish by the end of my time in Boulder.  Yet, here we are, on my second-to-last day, and there are thousands of objects to go.  I never even made it out of pottery sherds.

It's a little depressing.

But it seems fitting that since I started my internship back here, counting the collection, that I will finish up back here, too.  Everything's circular.

Now if only I could be certain my exhibit will one day have a sign!  I'm still waiting on a quote from one company and I've contacted another with no response.  It's like, I'm trying to give you money!  Why aren't you responding?  At this rate, I'm just going to have to find a sign in San Jose, where I can show up in person and nag people until I get an answer to my question.
